Pinalitan nila ng ibang konteksto at mga caption na kung saan nilagay nila OFW aarestuhin daw at pinapakalat nila na huwag nang magpadala ng mga remittances para sa kanilang mga mahal sa buhay na nasa ating bansa,&quot; he added. </p><p>The tampered clip reportedly misled viewers into believing that Santiago was targeting all OFWs, sparking online outrage and calls for halting remittance transfers.</p><p>The NBI has traced the vloggers’ locations to Saudi Arabia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and Pampanga.</p><p>The agency is coordinating with international and local authorities to pursue legal action, including possible arrests.</p><p>“Patuloy po tayong makikipag-cooperate sa kanila, magbibigay ng impormasyon, at makakatulong po sila na mabilis na mapadala kung magkaroon ng warrant of arrest ang mga fake news vloggers na ito,” Macorol said.</p><p>The charges include violations of the Anti-Alias Law, Unlawful Use of Means of Publication, and Inciting to Sedition.</p><p>The NBI is also gathering further evidence against other individuals allegedly involved in the spread of disinformation.</p><p>Macorol reminded the public that sharing such manipulated videos can have legal consequences.</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/4/16/nbi-criticism-welcome-but-fake-news-is-a-crime-1438">NBI: Criticism welcome, but &#x27;fake news&#x27; is a crime</a></div><p>&quot;Yung mga nagsi-share po ng mga video na ito, meron din po kayong mga responsibilidad na hindi dapat ito ipagkalat, sapagkat mapapabilang din po kayo sa maaring makasuhan ng NBI,” he warned.</p><p>The NBI urges the public to be cautious and verify information before sharing it online, especially during times of heightened sensitivity around government policies and national issues.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO</strong></div><div><strong><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/XE2rNAtTH6U?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span></strong><br/></div>
