MANILA CITY-  Mayor-elect Isko Moreno Domagoso on Tuesday said he wants to &quot;start healing&quot; and lead the city of Manila with no hatred.  He issued the statement shortly after being proclaimed as mayor of Manila. &quot;We start from healing. Bati bati na tayo. Nasaktan kami [ni Chi] don&#x27;t get me wrong, we were emotionally and psychologically hurt. But the people [of Manila] have overwhelming spoken. and that&#x27;s good enough vindication for chichi and I,&quot; said Domagoso.<div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/5/13/isko-moreno-returns-to-manila-s-helm-reclaims-city-hall-2115">Isko Moreno returns to Manila’s helm, reclaims city hall</a></div> The statement comes after issues of tension between him and former ally-turned-rival Honey Lacuna and her family, especially during the campaign season. The former mayor beat the incumbent mayor after garnering 529,507 votes on the midterm elections. When asked if he has plans of reaching out to them, &quot;Now I&#x27;m reaching out. If there is a chance, at the end of the day they are a citizen of this city and I am obliged to do service for them. We should start healing.
