MANILA — The Judicial and Bar Council started its first round of interviews Wednesday to replace Supreme Court Associate Justice Mario Lopez, who will retire on June 4, 2025.
The JBC interviewed Court of Appeals Justices Nina Antonio-Valenzuela and Ramon Bato as well as University of the Philippines College of Law Dean Darlene Marie Berberabe.

Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla was among the JBC members who asked the applicants during the interview.
