PPCRV Spokesperson Ana De Villa Singson earlier said the Comelec website on May 12 showed that in one area, there were 992 registered voters and 768 voted. However, the number of ballots cast was 919.

The Comelec official defined the total number of valid ballots as "the valid ballots that are actually cast into the ballot box."

"The pointer in their [Comelec] program was set to number two. Hence, the number of valid ballots included the rejected, returned and valid ballots which sum up to more than the number of voters that actually voted," Singson said.

The PPCRV spokesperson said scanned ballots could be higher than valid ballots because some voters, who experience issues with the automated counting machines, will scan their ballot more than once.

Singson said she hoped to get a "more thorough explanation" from Comelec on the delay in transmission and other issues with automated election machines.

'HIGHEST TRANSMISSION'
Singson said the PPCRV has received 99.12 percent of transmitted votes in theitsir unofficial parallel count, which is the last transmission they got from Comelec before it stopped transmitting on Thursday.

"What you are seeing here is the last transmission already. So after today, we won't be making any more updates to the unofficial parallel count... The last transmission last night brings us to 99.12 percent of all the transmission rates," Singson said.

"I think this is one of the highest transmission rates that we've gotten and very, very quickly too. It's only four days, barely four days after the election and already we're at 99.12 percent already. In previous elections it took us more time than that to get to where we are now," she added.

Singson said PPCRV has received 19,506 or 20.91 percent of total physical election returns nationwide. The election returns are from Metro Manila and the southern and northern parts of Luzon.
