Only 5 senatorial candidates allied with the Marcos Jr. administration won seats in the Senate, while 5 other seats went to aspirants endorsed by Vice President Sara Duterte. The two other vacant slots in the legislative chamber went to candidates who are known critics of the late President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.
