Randulf Tuaño maintained that the recent polls were generally peaceful and that the incidents were isolated.</p><p>“Ang general objective po natin ay magkaroon ng maayos na halalan… kaya po sinasabi natin na generally peaceful po ang midterm national elections po bagamat po may mga insidente po tayo na itinuturing po natin na isolated incidents,” he told reporters in a media briefing. </p><p>(Our general objective is to ensure orderly elections… that’s why we say the midterm national elections were generally peaceful, even though there were some incidents that we consider isolated.) </p><p>ERIs are either violent or non-violent incidents related to the elections that warrant a police response. </p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2025/5/19/teachers-poll-workers-election-honoraria-increased-anew-1449">Teachers, poll workers&#x27; election honoraria increased anew</a></div><p>In a separate statement, PNP chief Gen.
