Randulf Tuaño is set to don his first star, marking his promotion to the rank of brigadier general. </p><p>A memorandum dated May 28 confirmed the promotion, coming just four months after Tuaño took the helm of the police force’s PIO.</p><p>Joining him in the latest wave of promotions are the following lieutenant colonels, all poised to rise as full-fledged colonels in the police force.</p><ul style="list-style-type:circle"><li>Police Lieutenant Colonel Vincente Oligario Amante</li><li>Police Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Bonaobra Bilaro</li><li>Police Lieutenant Colonel Cheryl Paler Yatar</li><li>Police Lieutenant Colonel Mark Anthony Melmida Andrade</li><li>Police Lieutenant Colonel Regina Narag Basco</li><li>Police Lieutenant Colonel James Mejorada Dime</li><li>Police Lieutenant Colonel Christel Marie Calumpit Nobleza</li><li>Police Lieutenant Colonel Benjamin Aguirre Cruto, Jr.</li><li>Police Lieutenant Colonel Eric Reyes De Venancio</li><li>Police Lieutenant Colonel Roger Ubongen Mangaoang</li></ul><div><br/></div><p>The donning of ranks ceremony is scheduled to take place on Thursday afternoon.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>NEXT PNP CHIEF</strong></div><div><br/></div><p>Meanwhile, PNP Chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil welcomed President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s announcement that a senior official has already been selected to succeed him.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/5/27/marcos-jr-confirms-he-has-chosen-next-pnp-chief-2315">Marcos Jr. confirms he has chosen next PNP chief</a></div><p>﻿“We are so happy na talagang at least ‘yong mga tao, wala nang pangamba na talagang tuloy-tuloy ‘yong programa natin. Kung mas senior, eh di it will be better for the PNP para tuloy-tuloy ‘yong reporma natin, ‘yong internal cleansing natin, and sabi ko ‘yong pagbabago—‘yong magandang serbisyo sa PNP at sa mga tao natin,” Marbil said.</p><p>(We’re very happy because at least now, our people no longer have doubts—our programs will continue. If the next chief is more senior, then that’s even better for the PNP.
