It was also then that he took the opportunity to finally reveal the truth.</p><p>According to the family, Cynthia had suspected what had happened to their daughter, and her frequent questions were her way of seeking confirmation that Malia was gone.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/5/4/5-year-old-girl-dies-in-naia-car-crash-after-sending-off-her-father-1712">Last farewell: 4-year-old girl dies in NAIA car crash after sending off her father</a></div><p>“Ang sabi sa akin, may alam na si Cynthia noong time na nasa ambulance siya, conscious siya noon,,&quot; said Madoona Masongsong-Goh, aunt of Malia. &quot;Naririnig ko yung kapatid ko (Danmark) na sumisigaw sa labas, isinisigaw yung pangalan ni Malia. Parang alam na niya (Cynthia).&quot; </p><p>&quot;Kanina noong sinabi ng kapatid ko, ang gusto lang malaman ng hipag ko yung confirmation kung talagang wala na yung anak niya,&quot; she added. </p><p>On her first day at the hospital, Cynthia was already asking where Malia was because she couldn’t see the child. But Danmark had no choice but to hide the truth so she could recover.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/5/5/driver-in-naia-crash-faces-reckless-imprudence-charge-1645">Driver in NAIA crash faces reckless imprudence charge</a></div><p>Cynthia has been transferred to the recovery room at St. Luke’s Medical Center.</p><p>She is eager to leave the hospital so she can be with her daughter, who was at a funeral home in Lipa City. </p><p>The driver in the deadly crash underwent inquest proceedings on Monday.
