<p>MANILA — Malacañang on Friday dismissed questions raised by Vice President Sara Duterte on the results of the midterm elections, saying her claims that at least three candidates from their senatorial slate actually won in polls are just ‘wishful thinking.’</p><p>In a speech to members of the Filipino community in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Duterte said senatorial candidates Jayvee Hinlo Jr., Jimmy Bondoc, and Richard Mata should have won Senate seats.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/6/12/sara-duterte-doubts-halalan-2025-senate-race-results-1727">Sara Duterte doubts Halalan 2025 Senate race results</a></div><p>Duterte said she has consulted information technology experts who she said also questioned the results. She urged PDP Laban to question the conduct of elections.</p><p>“Well, sa mga ganito kasi, wish lang nila iyon; libre naman ang mangarap. Ang pangarap na iyon sa ngayon ay hindi mangyayari. Ang pangarap sana ay huwag gawing reyalidad baka maraming maniwala. So, kung ano po ang resolusyon, ang naging resulta ng eleksiyon, igalang na lang po natin,” Palace Press Officer Claire Castro responded to the VP’s remarks.</p><p>(That is a wish and people are free to make wishes, but that is just a wish. Let&#x27;s not pretend a wish is reality because people might believe it.
