MANILA — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s three sons on Sunday greeted him a happy father’s day, with one scion thanking their father for “being resolute in the face of adversity.”

In three separate video messages, Sandro, Simon and Vincent Marcos shared anecdotes about their father, who they described as someone who they “learn from” and someone who they “can always look up to.”

“It's an honor for me to learn from you on a daily basis. And thank you for everything that you do for the country, and for standing up for what you believe is right, for being resolute in the face of adversity, and I hope that despite your busy, busy schedule that you can at least hopefully find some time to rest,” said Sandro, who also serves as Ilocos Norte representative.

“Thank you for teaching me what is right, and thank you for all the sound advice that you give me, which I really, really do need from you sometimes,” Marcos Jr.’s eldest son said.

“I couldn't ask for a better dad. I couldn't ask for a better mentor. And I couldn't ask for anyone better than you to work with so thank you for imparting your wisdom to me,” he said.

Sandro made no mention of any incident, but the President has faced several political intrigues this year, his administration’s failure to win majority of the seats in the 2025 senatorial race, and drawing flak from supporters of former President Rodrigo Duterte, who was arrested and brought to the International Criminal Court (ICC) in March.

Earlier this year, Sandro was the first to sign the impeachment case against Vice President Sara Duterte, and noted that he sought advice from his father about the issue.

'NEVER LOSE YOUR TEMPER'

Vincent, the President’s youngest son, shared that one of the lessons he learned from his father was to never lose his temper.

“My dad always told me, pikon, talo so don't let other people's emotions get in the way of what you're trying to do and what you believe in,” he said.

Vincent also shared that despite being President, Marcos Jr has “always spent time” with his family.

“My Dad always gave all five love languages, honestly. He always spent time with us. He gave us gifts growing up. So yeah, I think best of all worlds,” he said.

Simon, the President’s middle child, described their patriarch as “the best possible father [he] could ever have.”

“I couldn't have gone anywhere without you. I love you so much, and I hope you are having the best Father's Day possible. Love you to bits.”

FIRST LADY: CALM IN OUR CHAOS

In a separate Instagram post, First Lady Liza Marcos also greeted Marcos Jr. a happy father’s day, describing  the President as “the calm in our chaos.”

“Today, we celebrate the man our children look up to … and the husband I still look at with love, and occasional exasperation,” she said.

“Happy father's day to the love of my life. You’re not just an amazing dad — you’re the heart of our home,” she said.

“Thanks for being the calm in our chaos and the king of our castle even if I’m still the Queen.”
