<div>[[PHOTO ALBUM]] </div><div> </div>Authorities have recovered approximately 30 kilograms of suspected shabu with an estimated value of ₱204,000,000, early Thursday morning, June 20.A 26-year old security guard doing his rounds around the area at 2:10 AM alerted the police officers patroling along Friendship Road in Barangay Sabang, Naic, Cavite about an abandoned green suitcase along the roadside of a vacant lot.“Nakita namin kaduda duda ang laman,” said PLt. Col. Resty Soriano, Naic Municipal Police Station Chief of Police.Upon inspecting the suitcase, officers discovered 30 heat-sealed packs containing the suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 30 kilograms.Investigators also discovered 3 surveillance cameras around the suitcase.This led them to conclude the suitcase was part of a “dead drop” operation, a strategy used in illegal drug operations where pushers leave the drugs in an area to be picked up by a buyer.Soriano  said the “dead drop” modus  is designed to avoid physical apprehension.&quot;Ang assessment ko dun… &#x27;Yung taong nag-iwan nito yung involved sa siguro illegal drug trade. Iniwan niya dun, may ka transaksyon siya. Para sure niya kung sino pi-pick-up, nilagyan niya ng camera,&quot; he said.&quot;Ang dead drop kasi nakikita ko is iwas talaga sila sa huli physically. So sa pag-iimbestiga namin malalaman namin kung sino &#x27;tong may kagagawan nito,&quot; he added.Authorities are currently conducting backtracking operations including a review of CCTV footage from roads leading into and out of the area to identify potential suspects.The confiscated shabu has been turned over to the crime lab forensic group for examination.
