MANILA — The Department of Health on Saturday provided online counseling sessions for some 60 FIlipinos in Israel, where uncertainty over the country’s war with Iran continues to loom amid a fragile ceasefire.The DOH tapped mental health experts from the Mariveles Mental Health and Wellness General Hospital to provide psychological debriefing and first aid for distraught overseas Filipinos, the DOH said in a statement.“We also understand the anxiety and fear of everybody. We want to tell you you are not alone kahit na malayo kami,” Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa said during the online counseling session.“They will provide you ways to cope during these trying times. We also are here to assist you in every way we can and offer you our sincere encouragement,” he said. “We are always here and we continue to explore all avenues to assist you. Stay strong, stay vigilant and continue to look out for one another.
