No objection was raised to his appointment. </p><div><a class="fr-green" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/6/3/vince-dizon-staying-as-dotr-chief-in-marcos-cabinet-shakeup-1335"><strong>Marcos rejects courtesy resignation of over a dozen Cabinet officials</strong></a></div><p>The ad interim appointments of Civil Service Commission Commissioner Luis Pañgulayan, Commission on Audit Commissioner Douglas Mallillin, and 86 generals, flag officers, and senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) were also confirmed by the CA.</p><p>Due to lack of material time, the CA Committee on Constitutional Commissions and Offices suspended the ad interim appointment of Commission on Elections Commissioner Maria Norina Tangaro-Casingal. The CA will resume on June 10 for this. </p><div><a class="fr-green" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/5/27/marcos-jr-rejects-resignation-calls-2312"><strong>Marcos Jr. rejects resignation calls</strong></a></div><p>The consideration of the ad interim appointment of COMELEC Commissioner Noli Pipo was also suspended due to lack of material time.</p><p>Duterte Youth Partylist Chairman Ronald Cardema attended the CA meeting as oppositor against the two COMELEC Commissioners.</p><p>Cardema said he was opposing because Tangaro-Casingal and Pipo approved the recommendation suspending the proclamation of Duterte Youth. </p><p>&quot;I am opposing them because in their interviews in the last two weeks, they are all pointing their finger to their directors in COMELEC. That they signed because it was recommended to them. They said that it was recommended by their directors for us to be suspended,&quot; Cardema stated. </p><p>Cardema also alleged the two Commissioners &quot;twisted the results of democracy.&quot; </p><p>&quot;The character of these two has been tested three weeks ago and clearly they have failed in this test. They have twisted the results of democracy and the sovereign will of more than 2.3 million Filipinos who are not only our constituents, but also the constituents of your honors as senators and representatives of the Philippines. These two have failed in their test of character,&quot; Cardema said.</p><p>The CA Committee noted the statement of Cardema but suspended the meeting due to lack of material time.</p><div><br/></div><div> </div>
