<div><br/></div><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1752369884181518127959_1220450033463584_6015674169363247885_n.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation (SAICT) enforcer shot dead in his home in Cavite on July 12, 2025. <em>Cavite PPO.</em></span></span></span></div><div><br/></div><p>MANILA  — The Department of Transportation&#x27;s Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation (SAICT) condemned the &quot;senseless killing&quot; of one of its enforcers on Saturday and said it will remain firm and fearless on service for the welfare of commuters.</p><p>In two posts on its Facebook page on Sunday morning, SAICT said it is determined to seek justice after <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/regions/2025/7/13/saict-enforcer-patay-sa-pamamaril-sa-cavite-0839">enforcer Hervin Cabanban was shot dead in his home in Cavite</a> by a still unknown assailant.</p><p>SAICT enforces traffic and road safety rules, particularly along the EDSA Busway.</p><p>Cabanban&#x27;s neighbors told authorities they heard two gun shots in his house on Saturday, 2 a.m.</p><p>&quot;Condemning in the strongest possible terms the senseless killing of SAICT enforced Hervin Cabanban who was murdered inside his home,&quot; SAICT wrote.</p><p>&quot;We will do everything to hold those accountable for this heinous crime and cowardly act. Walang kalaban-laban ‘yung tao. Pinasok niyo ang bahay, pinagbabaril niyo, at sinaksak niyo pa,&quot; the agency said, quoting Department of Transportation-SAICT Asec. Patuloy kaming magbibigay ng tapat at dedikadong serbisyo sa bayan,&quot; it said, quoting SAICT Ground Commander Simeon Talosig, a retired army general.</p><p>(To the cowards who killed our colleague who had been doing his duty faithfully, we remain strong and unafraid. We will continue to render faithful service to the country)</p><p>Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon earlier expressed outrage and said the department is coordinating with law enforcement agencies to hold the perpetrator accountable.</p><p>&quot;I strongly condemn in the strongest terms the heinous killing of our SAICT enforcer. Ipinag-utos na ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos ang mabilisang pagresolba sa krimen na ito,&quot; he said in a statement.</p><p>SAICT is tasked to crack down violations on the EDSA Busway, ensuring that the lane is used properly.
