Michael Delizo, ABS-CBN News</span></span></span></div><div><br/></div><p>MANILA — Authorities have arrested a Chinese fugitive linked to a restaurant shooting in Makati and the abduction of a 14-year-old student in Taguig, Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III said Monday.</p><p>Torre said Wang Dan Yu, alias Bao Long, was apprehended in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi, at midnight on Saturday as he allegedly attempted to re-enter the country through the southern backdoor, based on intelligence reports.</p><p>He was aboard a speedboat from another country when he was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by a Makati City court.</p><p>“The Philippine National Police have ways to monitor individuals and control the situation. Kaya nakita natin, na-monitor natin ang kanyang mga plano hanggang sa nalaman natin na siya ay babalik kaya hindi na natin siya pinagbigyan na makagalaw pa nang malaya dito sa bansa natin. Inaresto na natin siya pagtapak niya sa Philippine soil,” Torre said in a press briefing at Camp Crame.</p><p>(That’s why we were able to track and monitor his plans until we learned that he was returning. We didn’t allow him to move freely in our country any further—we arrested him the moment he set foot on Philippine soil.)</p><p>The 28-year-old Chinese national is wanted for murder, carnapping, and kidnapping for ransom. Gusto nating ipagdiinan na hindi ligtas sa Pilipinas para sa mga kriminal na nagtatago rito o gumagawa ng krimen at tatatakas papunta sa ibang bansa,” Torre said.</p><p>(We will do everything to make sure this person doesn’t get away.
