(This is no laughing matter because we&#x27;re talking about lives here).  We have to make a strong statement here na we will not tolerate this. Pasensyahan po,” said Dizon in an interview with DZMM.</p><p>The incident occurred around 3 a.m. along the Runway Elevated Northbound Section of the Skyway.</p><p>CCTV footage showed the SUV traveling against the flow of traffic, forcing several vehicles to swerve to avoid a head-on collision.</p><p>A Skyway patroller eventually intercepted and stopped the vehicle.</p><p>According to an initial report from the DOTr, the SUV had been traveling along the NAIA Expressway toward Bicutan when the driver allegedly made a U-turn at the Doña Soledad Toll Plaza and proceeded to drive in the wrong direction.</p><p>The SUV driver was initially issued a traffic ticket and given a 90-day automatic license suspension but Dizon said it would be permanently revoked at the end of LTO proceedings.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/8/9/-road-discipline-bill-seeks-to-regulate-use-of-sidewalks-streets-1341"><strong>&#x27;Road Discipline&#x27; bill seeks to regulate use of sidewalks, streets</strong></a></div><p>Dizon emphasized that a driver&#x27;s license is a privilege that comes with responsibilities.<strong></strong><br/></p><p>“[K]apag ‘yong pagmamanehong ‘yon ay posibleng makasakit, makamatay pa, pasensyahan po tayo,” Dizon added.</p><p>(If the driving puts others at risk of injury or death, you have to understand that there are consequences)</p><p>Road safety advocate and LTO-accredited practical driving instructor Aries Soliman echoed Dizon’s remarks, noting that the driver&#x27;s actions were reckless and could have been avoided.</p><p>“Number One po, gumamit muna siya ng tinatawag nating hazard lights and then igilid niya ‘yong kanyang sasakyan sa mismong area. Kung meron po siyang makikitang road safety na kung saan may marshal, pwede po siyang magpa-assist,” Soliman said.</p><p>(What he should have done, Number One, was to turn his hazard lights on and pull over.
