<p>MANILA — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Monday warned motorists who will violate counterflow rules on highways and expressways that they could face lifetime revocation of license.</p><p>A <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/8/10/suv-driver-loses-license-for-life-after-dangerous-counterflow-on-skyway-1606">motorist </a>went viral over the weekend after he was caught counterflowing at the Skyway.</p><p>Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon ordered the Land Transportation Office (LTO) to perpetually revoke the erring driver&#x27;s license.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/weather-traffic/2025/8/9/driver-na-nag-counterflow-sa-skyway-kanselado-habangbuhay-ang-lisensya-2120">Driver na nag-counterflow sa Skyway, kanselado habangbuhay ang lisensya</a></div><p>&quot;Any of our motorists, kapag kayo nag-counterflow sa highway...hindi na kayo makakapagmaneho habambuhay—ganon lang kasimple yun,&quot; Dizon said in a chance interview in Pasay City after inspecting the long <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2025/8/11/dotr-to-address-long-lines-lack-of-beep-cards-in-lrt-1-1409">passenger line at LRT-1.</a></p><p>“Pasensiyahan pero sa lahat na lang ng ika-counterflow mo sa expressway pa...dahil expressway..nahuli ka naman ng camera, ambilis mo pang magpatakbo. Imbes na tumabi ka na lang, eh nag-bright lamp ka pa ng headlight mo para pinapatabi mo pa yung mga kasalubong mo.
