Courtesy: Barangay Laging Handa</span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — Three students were injured  after a piece of plaster fell from a building in Tomas Morato, Quezon City, on Tuesday afternoon.</p><p>Two of the students are now in critical condition.</p><p>According to witnesses, the students had just stepped out of a convenience store along Don A. Roces Avenue, at the corner of Tomas Morato, around 4:30 p.m., when plaster from between the seventh and eighth floors of a building suddenly fell and struck them on the head.</p><div><br/></div><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?height=476&amp;href=https%3A%2F%2Fweb.facebook.com%2Freel%2F1067854002131244%2F&amp;show_text=false&amp;width=267&amp;t=0" width="267" height="476" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span></div><p>Two of the victims were knocked unconscious and were given first aid at the scene before being rushed to a private hospital.</p><p>Carla Baldonado, 34, did not expect her 12-year-old son would end up in critical condition.</p><p>Baldonado said she is determined to take legal action against the building owners.</p><p>“Sana po yung sa condominium, makipagtulungan po sila. Nalantang gulay na lang ang anak ko… Mabait yung anak ko, masunurin yun eh,” said Baldonado.</p><p>She also asked for financial help amid rising hospital expenses.</p><p>“Hihingi sana kami ng panalangin unang-una, tulong pinansyal kasi as of now po ang running bill niya is P81,000 na. So kailangan daw namin i-settle muna ‘yun bago siya mailipat sa ICU. And then pagdating po sa ICU, ang magiging bill niya everyday is P30,000 to 50,000,” she said.</p><p>Barangay Laging Handa officials said the building management is already coordinating with authorities.</p><p>The Quezon City Police is still investigating the cause of the incident.</p><p>In a <a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://web.facebook.com/QCGov/posts/pfbid0ZAA48CB91SFgaDLG53xnnTbcrz8PJ9fhHAVLPDbXpU2gLgQVio6nWDzgJtV35JHVl">statement</a>, the local government of Quezon City said it will be providing aid to the students and their families.</p><p>It has also started its investigation on the incident.</p><p>&quot;Ikinalulungkot namin ang sinapit ng dalawang batang nasugatan ng malubha nang mabagsakan ng palitada mula sa isang condominium sa Tomas Morato. Aalalayan at tutulungan ng lokal na pamahalaan, sa pamamagitan ng Social Services and Development Department, ang mga bata at kanilang pamilya,&quot; it said.</p><p>&quot;Nawa’y ipanalangin natin ang kanilang mabilis na paggaling.
