Department of Transportation/Facebook</span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Wednesday said the Land Transportation Office had released a resolution perpetually revoking the license of the driver who counterflowed on the Skyway over the weekend.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/8/10/suv-driver-loses-license-for-life-after-dangerous-counterflow-on-skyway-1606">SUV driver gets license revoked for life after dangerous counterflow on Skyway</a></div><p>This, after the SUV driver admitted he was intoxicated during the time of the incident, DOTr Secretary Vince Dizon said.</p><p>Although the driver did not attend his scheduled hearing at the Land Transportation Office (LTO) on Tuesday morning, he showed up with his lawyer later that same day and made the confession to LTO chief Vigor Mendoza.</p><p>“Umamin siya, with his lawyer, na intoxicated siya… Napaamin siya ni Asec. Hindi pupwede ’to.
