<p>MANILA -- The LRT-2 resumed full line operations at 4:12 p.m. on Tuesday, more than an hour after lightning struck one of its catenary wires at the Antipolo station.</p><p>The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) said the incident happened at 2:41 p.m., forcing the train line to implement limited services from Recto station to Araneta Center-Cubao and vice versa while it addressed the electrical issue.</p><p>According to LRTA Administrator Hernando Cabrera, the catenary wire or power cable was intact but the lightning affected the pantograph of the train.</p><p>“Buo pa naman yung kable. Goods siya, walang nabali. Pero yung tren, yun yung sumalo ng kidlat… Yun ang nakatirik ngayon doon,” he said.</p><p>Cabrera said the train car would need further assessment but to resume full line operations as soon as possible, the LRTA decided to just utilize one platform first.</p><p>“Ang mangyayari isang platform lang ang gagamitin namin sa Antipolo. (As) loading and unloading, alternate sila… As far as Antipolo naman sa hapon, konti ang pasaherong pasakay. Panay pababa lahat yan so hindi masyadong strain yun sa aming operations,” he said.</p><p>“Ang objective namin kasi makapag-full line operations agad.
