MANILA — Pampanga 2nd District Rep. Alfredo Garbin Jr. (Ako Bicol party-list)<div> </div>The CA, created by the 1987 Constitution, vets presidential appointments of heads of executive departments, ambassadors, high-ranking military officers and other officials.It may confirm or reject these appointments.The CA is composed of 12 members from each chamber of Congress, and the Senate president.Garbin, who served on the CA in the 17th Congress, vowed to “remain committed to serving with fairness, wisdom, and integrity, always for the good of the Filipino people.”The lawmaker added, he welcomes testimony with evidence from citizens, citizens&#x27; organizations, subject matter experts, and civil society groups on presidential appointees set to undergo CA scrutiny.
