Ronaldo Puno had alleged that the proposed 2026 budget included funding for already completed infrastructure projects.“Kung ito po ay talagang nasabing naisingit ay hindi ito papayagan ng Pangulo kaya aaralin,” Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said.“At mas maganda po, iyong mga nagrireklamo at nakaalam ay i-coordinate po talaga sa DPWH lalung-lalo na sa pangunguna at pamumuno ni Secretary Vince Dizon,” she said in a Malacanang briefing.Sought for clarification since the 2026 NEP has already been transmitted to Congress, Castro said various agencies should study this matter carefully.“Total nandiyan ang Kongreso, inaalam kaya nagkakaroon ng budget hearing para din malaman natin at ipaalam sa ehekutibo na ito ay hindi dapat, hindi dapat isama or dapat isama,” she said.Earlier Monday, President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. said they found out there were “insertions” in next year’s proposed budget.“Unfortunately, the more we look, the more we find.
