Ito  ang pakikipagbahagi ng pamahalaan upang patuloy na kilalanin ang inyong pagsisikap,&quot; he added. </p><p>A migrant workers office provides a direct link to the Philippines and helps give a direct service to Filipino workers abroad. </p><p>Under the DMW, they are also tasked to &quot;facilitate the overseas employment and reintegration of Filipino workers,&quot; the agency said. </p><p>Philippine Ambassador to Cambodia Flerida Ann Camille Mayo underscored the importance of the president&#x27;s announcement to Filipinos in Cambodia. </p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/world/2025/9/5/marcos-to-push-for-stronger-economic-ties-fight-vs-transnational-crimes-in-cambodia-state-visit-1326">READ: Marcos to tackle economic cooperation, fight vs transnational crimes in Cambodia state visit</a></div><p>&quot;Ang migrant workers office, ang dami nating manggagawang Pilipino dito, ang trabaho nila mga teachers, nasa factories, nasa hotel, malawak ang coverage,&quot; Mayo told reporters. </p><p>&quot;Ang migrant workers&#x27; offices have to see to it that ethical recruitment is followed, the rights and benefits of our workers are protected and guaranteed in their contracts,&quot; she said. </p><p>Mayo said cases of Filipinos falling victim to become scam hub employees in the Southeast Asian country &quot;more than doubled&quot; this year, noting she was &quot;alarmed&quot; with the development. </p><p>Just last month, 24 Filipinos were rescued in Cambodia. </p><p>The Bureau of Immigration said the victims were lured through social media by recruiters promising jobs as customer service representatives with monthly salaries of up to USD 1,500. </p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/8/27/24-filipinos-rescued-from-online-scam-hubs-in-cambodia-repatriated-1908">READ: 24 Filipinos rescued from online scam hubs in Cambodia repatriated</a></div><p>Instead, they were brought to scam hubs where they were paid only about USD 300 and forced to operate as &quot;love scammers,&quot; catfishing European men online. </p><p>Southeast Asia&#x27;s vast &quot;pig butchering&quot; cyber scam industry — a reference to fraudsters taking their time to &quot;fatten up&quot; victims through romance cons and investment swindles — exploded during the COVID-19 pandemic when many of the region&#x27;s illegal casino operators turned to online fraud.</p><p>According to USAID&#x27;s latest Counter-Trafficking in Persons report, there could be as many as 150,000 people, including many foreigners, who have been forcibly coerced into working in Cambodia&#x27;s numerous scam compounds.</p><div></div>
