Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News/File</span></span></span></div><p>MANILA<strong> (2nd UPDATE) </strong>— A total of<strong> </strong><strong></strong>5,594<strong> </strong>examinees passed the 2025 Bar examinations, Supreme Court Associate Justice and Bar chairperson Amy Lazaro-Javier announced Wednesday, January 7, 2026.</p><p>This is equivalent to<strong> </strong>48.98 percent<strong></strong> of the total 11,420 law graduates who finished last September&#x27;s Bar exams.</p><p>Lazaro-Javier said the Supreme Court retained the passing grade of 75 percent, which was previously adjusted for the 2024 Bar examinations.</p><p>&quot;Every answer was scored depending on accuracy, clarity, conciseness, logic, and grammar,&quot; she explained.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>TOPNOTCHERS</strong></div><div><br/></div><p>University of the Philippines College of Law graduate Jhenroniel Sanchez topped the 2025 Bar examinations with the a grade of 92.70 percent.</p><p>Spinel Declaro of UST obtained the second highest score of 92.46 percent,</p><p>Meanwhile, Alaiza Adviento from the University of Santo Tomas-Manila placed 3rd with 91.91 percent.</p><div> </div><div><strong><u>The rest of the top 20 are the following:</u></strong></div><div><br/></div><p>4. Angelica Mitra (De La Salle-Lipa) - 91.68 percent</p><p>5. Marc Angelo Santos (UST-Manila) - 91.58 percent</p><p>6. Jeowy Ompad (University of San Jose-Recoletos) - 91.25 percent and Enrico Paguia (AdMU) - 91.25 percent</p><p>7. Johan Raphael Gata (UST-Manila) - 90.90 percent</p><p>8. Marie Shantelle Sarmiento (UP) - 90.87 percent</p><p>9. Richmond Lucas (University of La Salette) - 90.45 percent</p><p>10. Jusmin Yap (UP) - 90.36 percent</p><p>11. Allan Leo Paran (AU) - 90.20 percent</p><p>12. Patric Navarro (UE) - 89.93 percent</p><p>13. Afrancis Cabungcal (UP) - 89.80 percent</p><p>14. Gerilin Gascon (Bukidnon State University) - 89.79 percent</p><p>15. Ignacio Lorenzo Villareal (UP) - 89.70 percent</p><p>16. Mae Angela Locsin (UST-Legaspi) - 89.42 percent</p><p>17. Randall Pabilane (AU)- 89.41 percent</p><p>18. Mikaella Abisana (AdMU) - 89.38 percent</p><p>19. Chinzen Viernes (UP) - 89.35 percent</p><p>20.
