MANILA — Some participants of the Boss Ironman Motorcycle Challenge appeared Friday at the second batch of hearings conducted by the Land Transportation Office (LTO).The LTO said the riders allegedly ignored red traffic signals and were involved in multiple road accidents during the endurance ride held in Mindanao from January 31 to February 1.Participants are facing several charges, including reckless driving, obstruction of traffic, disregarding traffic signs, speeding, and allowing an improper person to operate a vehicle.<div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/2/9/lto-asks-to-boss-ironman-challenge-participants-to-explain-traffic-violations-1646">LTO asks Boss Ironman challenge participants to explain traffic violations </a></div>Some riders explained that mechanical issues, including problems with steering, may have contributed to the incidents.  Others cited rough road conditions, including numerous potholes and possible stones on the road.They added that motorcycles are inspected thoroughly before being released to prevent more serious accidents.The LTO clarified that the riders’ licenses will not be confiscated for now.However, their motorcycles will be placed under alarm status and brought to the agency pending the results of the investigation
