Adrian Ayalin, ABS-CBN News</span></span></span></div><div><br/></div><p>MANILA — Supporters of former President Rodrigo Duterte gathered in front of the Supreme Court on Monday to call for his return from the Netherlands, where he currently is to face the International Criminal Court. </p><p>The supporters gathered outside the SC ahead of the <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/2/23/icc-duterte-confirmation-of-charges-hearing-war-on-drugs-0700">confirmation of charges hearing</a> for the crimes against humanity cases of the former President at the International Criminal Court.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/2/22/duterte-s-confirmation-of-charges-hearing-what-to-expect-0933">Duterte’s confirmation of charges hearing: What to expect</a></div><div><br/></div><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?height=314&amp;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Freel%2F26158737657078665%2F&amp;show_text=false&amp;width=560&amp;t=0" width="560" height="314" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span>Wendell Cabrera, Convenor of the DDS Sara All Confederation, reiterated the position of the children of the former President in their habeas corpus petitions that their father was “illegally kidnapped.”</div><p>“He was illegally kidnapped and handed over to a foreign country without submitting him to local courts,” Cabrera said.</p><p>Cabrera stressed that the groups went to the SC on their own initiative.</p><p>He also said that they have gathered more than a million signatures calling for the return of the former President which they will submit to the SC.</p><p>“Precious time ito eh, kasi the old man is sitting there, malamig doon sa The Hague, he could barely walk na, kawawa,” Cabrera said.</p><p>Another group of supporters from the United People’s Initiative also gathered at the SC and called for the immediate resolution of the petitions.</p><p>Retired Brig. Gen.
