ABS-CBN News/File</div>MANILA — Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla said Tuesday he has spoken with Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando regarding reports of harassment of an unnamed presidential son&#x27;s convoy along EDSA.Initial reports claimed that a group of vehicles supposedly registered in Bulacan harassed a convoy involving a presidential son.Malacañang, however, <a class="fr-green" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/2/22/pco-chief-denies-alleged-harassment-of-presidential-son-s-convoy-0043">denied </a>that such an incident took place.Remulla said he had talked to Fernando to verify the reports.&quot;Tinanong ko lang kung anong nangyari tapos ni-refer na lang sa LTO (Land Transportation Officer) para sila na ang mag-pursue niyan kung anong nangyari,&quot; Remulla said, noting that the information remain unverified.Addressing rumors that Fernando was threatened, Remulla said: &quot;Walang threat. Pina-examine ko lang yung firearms licenses niya, kung ano ang valid, ano ang hindi. But as far as that, wala kaming raid sa bahay, walang ganun.&quot;He further explained that any examination of firearms and vehicles was part of standard procedure.&quot;Pina-examine ko lang kung nasa kung ano ang three firearms were discovered, one is missing, so hinahanap namin. As far as after that, LTO na nag-conduct na investigation. I think lahat ng vehicles ay in-inspect. Pero after that, wala na akong ginawa,&quot; he explained.Remulla also highlighted past complaints regarding Fernando&#x27;s convoy on NLEX.&quot;It doesn’t matter if it was a presidential son or not. Naging ugali na ni Governor Fernando na ‘pag nabiyahe siya ng NLEX ay apat na lane na occupied niya na walang pwede mag-overtake. Regardless kung sino ang naging victim, mali ‘yung ginawa niya,&quot; he said.Remulla said such practice is unacceptable.&quot;Wala namang siya pinatay, wala namang ginulpi, pero it has to stop. Hindi pwede makahari ‘yung mga governor eh. Dapat, you should respect the people&#x27;s rights also,&quot; he said.Apart from the LTO, Central Luzon police are also handling the verification of vehicles and firearms involved in the incident.
