MANILA – Vice President Sara Duterte has accused members of the House of Representatives of using the issue of confidential funds as a political weapon to push for her impeachment. “Nauna yung idea na impeachment bago maghanap tayo ng ebidensya. Willing po yan halimbawa ipatawag siya ng committee to expound to explain yung affidavit niya, anytime po siya. Willing pong pumunta ‘yan,” Atty. Raymund Palad said in a DZMM interview.  Madriaga had earlier submitted an affidavit linking Duterte to alleged irregularities involving confidential funds. The vice president has since filed a perjury complaint against him. The House Committee on Justice on Thursday has already issued a notice ordering Duterte to submit her response within 10 days regarding the two impeachment complaints filed against her. Once her answer is submitted, a hearing will follow to determine whether probable cause exists. <div> </div>
