MANILA — Three hundred and forty-two Filipinos from the UAE arrived in the Philippines aboard the 9th government chartered flight as part of the government&#x27;s ongoing repatriation program.Of this number, 255 are OFWs while the rest are their dependents.Department of Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac welcomed this batch at the Hangar 2 of Villamor Airbase.Cacdac clarified that each repatriated OFW will receive as much as 40,000 pesos as financial aid, contrary to circulating rumors that they only get P10,000.&quot;200 USD onsite so mga P12,000, and then 10,000 pesos pagdating here from DMW. Sa OWWA, pag active member may P20,000, kapag inactive P10,000 so nasa P30-40,000 depende if active sa OWWA,&quot; Cacdac said.He also said they started distributing 200 USD to OFWs still in the Middle East but whose work has been affected by the war.Around 4,700 OFWs have received financial aid according to the DMW.Following this batch of repatriates, more than 300 Filipinos from Kuwait are also expected to arrive within the next few days now that the Kuwait Airport is set to reopen.This includes 16 human remains, most of which are Filipinos who died of natural causes.&quot;May procedural challenges sa pagpapauwi ng remains kumpara sa ordinary passenger. Most naman natural causes. May 16 human remains, naipon din kasi, sarado airspace sa Kuwait,&quot; Cacdac said.
