MANILA — The Presidential Communications Office has referred three Facebook accounts —  “Iloy Bugris: The Queen of Revelations”, “Rigondola Ping” and “Crage Anderpal” — to the Department of Justice for further investigation as the Marcos Jr. administration ramps up its fight against false information.PCO Director Robertzon Ramirez, head of the office&#x27;s Anti-Fake News Desk, submitted a narrative report to the DOJ on posts with false information on the president&#x27;s health.<div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/4/10/pco-to-launch-website-against-fake-news-2013">PCO to launch website against fake news</a></div>He said &quot;Iloy Bugris&quot; had falsely claimed that Marcos Jr. is critically ill and solicited financial contributions from viewers.&quot;Rigondola Ping&quot; meanwhile allegedly manipulated images depicting the president in a state of physical distress, which Ramirez said was designed to mislead the public.&quot;Crage Anderpal&quot; allegedly fabricated a news graphic falsely claiming an official confirmation Marcos Jr.&#x27;s  supposed serious medical condition.DOJ spokesperson Atty. Polo Martinez said the referral is the result of the Memorandum of Agreement signed between the PCO, DOJ and the Department of Information and Communications Technology to combat &quot;fake news&quot; — a general term for disinformation and misinformation.Martinez said the information will be relayed to the National Bureau of Investigation, the agency tasked to file formal complaints.“So to put a stop to this, a stop to fake news, a narrative report was endorsed to the DOJ, subscribed of course by our members of the PCO on the social media accounts detailing [that the president has a serious condition when he does not],” Martinez said.Press freedom and freedom of speech advocates have cautioned against punitive measures against disinformation, saying campaigns like the PCO&#x27;s <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/4/11/media-a-target-of-marcos-jr-health-rumors-too-disinformation-researcher-1501">can be used against people&#x27;s legitimate exercise of their rights.  </a><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/4/8/-palabiro-ang-social-media-marcos-debunks-rumors-of-deteriorating-health-1837">‘Palabiro ang social media’: Marcos debunks rumors of deteriorating health </a></div>Justice Secretary Fredderick Vida said the information will be undergo a 10-day evaluation.“Ito ang nakakalungkot, pag nagbalita ng negatibo, kinakagat ng mga kababayan kung minsan di ba, pag binuksan, dumadami ang subscribers dumadami ang mga like, baka nagiging source pa ng pera eh,” Vida said.(What&#x27;s sad is that when you post bad news, some of our people believe it. When they click on it, the posters get more subscribers, more likes. They might even be monitizing this.)He said that some content creators may be fabricating stories about Marcos Jr.&#x27;s health to gain traction and make money.
