<p>MANILA -- Senator Ronald &quot;Bato&quot; dela Rosa was seen inside the Philippine Senate building late Wednesday night, after a shooting incident threw the complex into chaos.</p><p>A video uploaded at 11:13 p.m. showed dela Rosa shaking hands with a police officer, before allegedly heading towards the office of Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano.</p><p>Cayetano earlier assured that <a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/5/13/cayetano-says-sen-dela-rosa-is-secured-okay-2150">dela Rosa was &quot;secure&quot; after the incident</a>, wherein armed men supposedly entered the second floor of the Senate building past 7:00 p.m.</p><p>Dela Rosa has been staying in the Senate since Monday, after the chamber offered him protection in the wake of the unsealing of an arrest warrant by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against him.</p><p>He was included in the ICC&#x27;s list of wanted persons on Wednesday afternoon. </p><p>No one was hurt in the shooting incident at the Senate, Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla said. </p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/5/13/-everyone-safe-after-shooting-incident-at-senate-2212">READ: &#x27;Everyone safe&#x27; after shooting incident at Senate; probe underway</a></div><div><br/></div><div><strong>DIVERSION TACTIC?</strong></div><div><strong><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px;display:block" width="960"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1778696866324viber_image_2026-05-14_02-16-53-198.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" alt="Senator Ronald Bato Dela Rosa with Atty.
