<p>MANILA -- The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has identified the plate number of the vehicle involved in a gas-and-run incident at a gasoline station in Barangay Bahay Toro, Quezon City on Sunday. </p><p>According to Police Station 15 commander PLt. Col. Bryan Angelo Pajarillo, investigators were able to trace the vehicle through CCTV backtracking and coordination with nearby establishments and barangays. </p><p>The vehicle was positively identified as a grayish-blue Toyota Vios (2023 model) bearing plate number CBK 7953.</p><p>“Further verification showed that the vehicle was purchased from a car company in Nueva Ecija registered under a car financing company, and leased to an individual identified as &#x27;Lyn&#x27;,” Pajarillo said. </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/5/5/bagong-insidente-ng-gas-and-run-naitala-sa-qc-1509"><strong>Bagong insidente ng &#x27;gas-and-run&#x27; naitala sa Mindanao Avenue, Quezon City</strong></a> </div><p>Police are now coordinating with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) and other concerned agencies to determine the actual driver at the time of the incident and to prepare possible charges. </p><p>Investigators have also obtained the registered address of the lessee, with follow-up operatives deployed to the area. </p><p>“Outside Metro Manila ‘yung kanyang registered address. So, part ‘yun ng investigation natin na puntahan muna ‘yung kanyang registered address based doon sa nakuha nating details dito sa car financing company and dito sa ating LTO,” Pajarillo said. </p><p>Police also confirmed that two men were reportedly inside the vehicle during the incident, based on the statement of the gasoline station attendant. </p><p>Following the identification of the plate number, authorities placed the vehicle under nationwide alarm. </p><p>Meanwhile, the QCPD reiterated preventive measures to address similar incidents, including regular establishment visits and reminders to immediately contact emergency hotlines such as the Unified 911 and the QC Helpline 122. </p><p>“Pinapaalalahanan din natin itong mga gasoline boy na kung pwede ay maglagay ng barrier sa unahan ng sasakyan na iga-gas up nila at maghintay ng payment sa ating customer, as part na rin ng ating preventive measure nitong mga gas-and-run incidents,” Pajarillo said. </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/4/20/motoristang-hindi-nagbayad-sa-gasolinahan-tinutugis-ng-qcpd-1307"><strong>Driver tumakas umano matapos magpakarga ng P1,500 na gasolina</strong></a> </div><p>The QCPD urged the person involved to voluntarily coordinate with authorities to clarify the incident and avoid further legal consequences. </p><p>Anyone with information on the identity or whereabouts of the individuals involved is encouraged to report to the nearest police station.</p><div> </div><div><br/></div><div> </div>
