Chel Diokno said Wednesday.</p><p>Speaking on ANC, Diokno said that despite the &quot;voluminous&quot; documents needed to be marked ahead of the impeachment trial proper, &quot;I do believe that the process should be over within this week.&quot;</p><p>&quot;Whether the markings will last until this weekend or next week, <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/6/21/sara-duterte-impeachment-trial-on-track-for-july-6-diokno-1429">the trial on July 6 </a>will still proceed as scheduled,&quot; he said.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/6/23/sara-duterte-camp-denies-mirroring-prosecution-witnesses-for-impeachment-trial-1337">Sara Duterte camp denies ‘mirroring’ prosecution witnesses for impeachment trial</a></div><p>He noted that the pre-trial conference is taking long because of the &quot;independent&quot; markings by the defense and the prosecution teams.</p><p>&quot;We are dealing with four different articles of impeachment. Each of these articles have their own sets of evidence, including documentary evidence,&quot; Diokno said.</p><p>Rep.
