(NLDC) officials Gondelina Amata and Gregoria Buenaventura for graft over P2.9 million Priority Development Assistant Funds (PDAF) pending the resolution of their motions.</p><p>The court, chaired by Associate Justice Zaldy Trespeses, said it has yet to rule on their separate motions to quash the information filed by the Office of the Ombudsman on June 3.</p><p>The prosecution was also given time to file its comment on the motions.</p><p>According to the information filed by the Office of the Ombudsman, Amata and Buenaventura allegedly conspired with the late NLDC President Emmanuel Sevidal, Kabuhayan at Kalusugan Alay sa Masa Foundation Inc. (KKAMFI) project coordinator Marilou Antonio, and C.C. Barredo Publishing House proprietor Carmelita Barredo in the implementation of a livelihood project funded through the 2009 PDAF.</p><p>Prosecutors alleged the accused selected KKAMFI as the project partner without conducting the required accreditation and selection process in violation of Commission on Audit Circular No. 2007-001.</p><p>It further alleged that they released P2.91 million to KKAMFI through two disbursement vouchers under a Special Allotment Release Order dated July 2, 2009, despite the livelihood project for the 2nd District of Davao del Sur allegedly never being implemented.</p><p>Moreover, the accused reportedly prepared and submitted falsified documents to make it appear the project had been completed, resulting in undue injury to the government and unwarranted benefits to KKAMFI.</p><p>In a June 8 resolution, the court found probable cause to issue warrants of arrest and hold departure orders against Amata and Buenaventura.</p><p>The court previously convicted Amata of graft and malversation of public funds in connection with her alleged misuse of former Sen.
