<p>MANILA — First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos on Monday continued the distribution of free rice under the “Mula sa Puso, Para sa Pamilya” program as it marked its second week.</p><p>She graced the distribution of rice to almost 9,000 senior citizen beneficiaries in San Juan City.</p><p>This is still under the umbrella program of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr&#x27;s “Bawat Bayan, Makikinabang” program, funded by the Local Government Support Fund.</p><p>&quot;Napili natin ang senior citizens kasi kapag nabigyan sila, makikinabang pati mga anak at apo nila,&quot; San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora said.</p><p>Zamora thanked the First Lady, noting citing that the President and the First Family used to be residents of San Juan City.</p><p>&quot;Malaking tulong po kasi sa labas, mahal ang bigas,&quot; said Angelo Aspa, a resident of San Juan.</p><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?height=314&amp;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Freel%2F969701679406211%2F&amp;show_text=false&amp;width=560&amp;t=0" width="560" height="314" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe> </span></div><p>Ten kilos of rice will be given per beneficiary four times a year.</p><p>&quot;Marami po kumakain sa amin, kaya malaking tulong ito, lalo ako birthday ko magandang pa-birthday ito,&quot; said Clarita Adviento, another beneficiary.</p><p>President Marcos has traveled to various parts of the country to also distribute rice to qualified beneficiaries under the &#x27;Bawat Bayan Makikinabang&#x27; program.</p><p>On Monday, he visited Sulu and the Zamboanga Peninsula to bring the program to the margins.</p><p>The First Lady is set to continue the free rice distribution program until mid-July, according to a schedule sent to the media. </p><div><a for="" href="http://MANILA — First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos on Monday continued the distribution of free rice under the “Mula sa Puso, Para sa Pamilya” program as it marked its second week.
