<p>MANILA — The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said it made at least two arrests after a physical altercation between protesters and officers at a mammoth EDSA rally on Tuesday morning. </p><p>The altercation erupted after several illegally parked buses blocked traffic at the EDSA-White Plains during the rally. </p><p>“Na-clear na po natin yung bus na yun and we affected arrest also kasi sa pagharang nila kanina, may naipit po,” NCRPO director MGen. Anthony Aberin said. </p><p>“Not less than 2 po yung arrest na nangyari: yung nanapak at yung driver, ito po yung nanakit sa kapulisan natin po,” he told DZMM.  </p><p>Aberin said at least one officer was rushed to the hospital. </p><p>&quot;Nahagip po siya ng bus, tapos natumba po siya... Itinakbo agad [siya] sa ospital kanina. Traffic was likewise affected on Ortigas Avenue, Shaw Boulevard, and the Cubao area.</p><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?height=476&amp;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Freel%2F1936626543706488%2F&amp;show_text=false&amp;width=267&amp;t=0" width="267" height="476" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div><p>At around 8:33 a.m., an INC bus blocked the EDSA Bus Carousel and by 8:58 a.m., the MMDA had removed the bus, allowing the busway to reopen. </p><p>&quot;Na-open na po ulit natin &#x27;yung busway na kaninang isinarado ng isang INC bus so naatras na natin &#x27;yung INC bus at sa ngayon umaandar ang busway pero generally ang traffic napakabigat pa rin dahil sarado pa rin ang lanes outside of the busway,&quot; Torre said.</p><p>The MMDA said motorists are temporarily being allowed to use the EDSA Bus Carousel lane, as it is currently the only open lane in the affected area.</p><p>Tow trucks have also been positioned nearby and are on standby to remove illegally parked vehicles. However, the trucks have been unable to reach the affected area because the roads remain blocked.</p><p>&quot;Napakarami po ng violation niyan lahat po ng klase ng ginagawa nila diyan is violation. Hindi pwdeng mag-park diyan sa EDSA.
