<p>MANILA— Simultaneous events will be held for the commemoration of the 128th Independence Day this June 12.</p><p>According to the National Historical Commission of the Philippines, key programs will be held on June 12 at the Rizal Park in Manila, Emilio Aguinaldo Shrine in Cavite, Barasoain Church in Bulacan, Andres Bonifacio Monument in Caloocan, and the Pinaglabanan Shrine in San Juan. </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/6/6/manila-police-inspect-mendiola-security-ahead-of-independence-day-protests-1929"><strong>Manila police inspect Mendiola security ahead of Independence Day protests </strong></a> </div><p>Programs will also be held at the ﻿Museo ng Kasaysayang Panlipunan ng Pilipinas, Angeles City and the Mausoleo de los Veteranos de la Revoluccion inside the Manila North Cemetery in Manila.</p><p>Meanwhile, a Parade of Freedom will be held at the Quirino Grandstand while an Independence Day Concert will be held at the Metropolitan Theater in the afternoon. </p><p>The Manila Police District has inspected sites for rallies anticipated on June 12, particularly Mendiola.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/6/6/pnp-no-validated-threats-ahead-of-independence-day-0028"><strong>PNP: No validated threats ahead of Independence Day </strong></a> </div><p>Reports have surfaced about planned protest actions on June 12, as well as allegations of destabilization efforts aimed at the Marcos administration.</p><p>The PNP said they have not received any information indicating such threats.</p><div> </div>
