The National Capital Region Police Office earlier said the protest would continue at Liwasang Bonifacio on Thursday.</p><p>Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso announced the class suspension during a Facebook Live broadcast shortly after 3 a.m., saying the decision was made to help maintain peace and order as the activity moved to the capital.</p><p>“We’ve been monitoring the situation since last night here in city hall at sa amin pong palagay, para na rin po sa kaayusan ng lahat, minabuti po ng inyong lingkod na ganito pa lang pong oras… ay ideklara na po na walang pasok sa lahat ng level sa paaralan, pampubliko at pribado,” Domagoso said.</p><p>The mayor noted that Liwasang Bonifacio is a designated freedom park where groups may hold assemblies.</p><p>“Ang Liwasang Bonifacio po ay isang freedom park. Katulad ng mga iba pang organisasyon na nagsasaad ng kanilang damdamin sa publiko, na nagagamit ang Liwasang Bonifacio nang walang permiso.”</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>PREPS</strong></div><div><br/></div><p>As of 4 a.m., INC members continued preparing for the protest at Liwasang Bonifacio.</p><p>Workers were setting up the stage and audio system for the activity, while some INC members were seen sleeping and resting inside the park as they waited for the program to begin later in the morning.</p><p>Domagoso said city government agencies had been working since Wednesday night to ensure public safety, cleanliness, and order during the gathering.</p><p>“In our own little way, [we are] trying to help, augment, or keep things in order. Nagtulong-tulong na rin po simula kagabi ng mga bandang alas-nwebe ng gabi ang ahensya ng lungsod para sa kaayusan, kalinisan, at kaligtasan ng lahat,” he said.</p><p>The mayor also welcomed the INC members to Manila while appealing to them to keep the area orderly and clean.</p><p>“Sa atin naman pong mga kapatid sa Iglesia ni Cristo, hangad namin ang kapayapaan ng lahat at malugod namin kayong tinatanggap dyan sa Liwasang Bonifacio,” Domagoso said.</p><p>“Ipinakikisuyo namin… kapag kayo’y naglulunsad ng mga aktibidades na malakihang sa lungsod na mapanatili nating maayos at malinis ang lahat, which I believe that you will do,” he added.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO</strong></div><div><strong><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/aZCi3V5eyuc?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span></strong><br/></div>
