<p>MANILA — Several local government units announced the suspension of classes in different levels due to the expected high temperature on Thursday, March 6.</p><p>Classes in <strong>all levels </strong>in the following areas are suspended:</p><p><strong>Candaba, Pampanga </strong>(public and private; no face-to-face classes, 12 p.m. onwards)</p><div><strong>Cavite City</strong></div><div><strong>Claveria, Cagayan</strong></div><p><strong>Himamaylan, Negros Occid</strong><strong>ental</strong> (public and private; no face-to-face classes)</p><p><strong>Pasay City</strong> (public and private; no face-to-face classes)</p><div><strong>San Luis, Batangas</strong></div><div><strong>CAGAYAN</strong></div><p>- Aparri (public schools only)</p><p>- Sanchez Mira (public schools only)</p><div><strong>LAGUNA</strong></div><p>- Cabuyao (public and private; no face-to-face classes)</p><p>- Calamba City (public and private; no face-to-face classes)</p><p>- Los Baños </p><p>Meanwhile, classes from <strong>preschool to senior high school </strong>are suspended in the following areas:</p><p><strong>Gonzaga, Cagayan</strong> (public and private; no face-to-face classes)</p><div><strong>BULACAN</strong></div><p>- Norzagaray (public and private; no face-to-face classes)</p><p>- San Jose del Monte (public schools only; no face-to-face classes)</p><p>PAGASA earlier said the country should start preparing for warmer and drier months ahead.</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/weather-traffic/2025/3/3/pagasa-warm-and-dry-season-possible-by-mid-march-to-april-1614">PAGASA: Warm and dry season possible by mid-March to April</a></div><p>PAGASA also urged the public to observe “extreme caution” against soaring temperatures.</p><p>The heat index, which is what the temperature feels like to the human body, could reach 39 degrees Celsius in Metro Manila, PAGASA weather forecaster Lorie Dela Cruz noted.  </p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/weather-traffic/2025/3/4/-extreme-caution-urged-over-rising-temperatures-0701">‘Extreme caution’ urged over rising temperatures</a></div>
