<div><iframe width="727" height="409" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/NGhuIgvM80g" title="Kaso vs 14 pulis na sangkot sa pagnanakaw at rape, inihain sa NAPOLCOM | TV Patrol" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div><br/></div><p>MANILA — The six remaining police officers from the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group–Special Operations Unit (PDEG-SOU) Region 4A allegedly involved in the <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/regions/2025/11/24/15-pdeg-cops-relieved-over-alleged-robbery-rape-of-grade-9-student-in-bacoor-1340">robbery and rape of an 18-year-old online seller</a> in Bacoor, Cavite have surrendered to authorities. </p><p>PDEG acting director Brig. Gen. Elmer Ragay said Monday that he personally went to the PDEG regional office last Thursday to oversee the surrender of the at-large suspects.</p><p>“I sent out a loud and clear message that they should not prolong their agony. At around 1:30 p.m. of the said date, isa-isa nang nag surrender ‘yung anim na at-large. So basically, accounted na lahat ‘yung at-large,” Ragay said.</p><p>The six officers, along with the eight earlier arrested, were brought to the PDEG headquarters where they were formally charged with robbery in band and rape. </p><p>They are also facing administrative cases before the National Police Commission (Napolcom).</p><p>Ragay said the officers have been relieved from their posts and placed under restrictive custody.</p><p>“Kung susundin ‘yung guidelines ng restrictive custody, they have been relieved, reassigned to the Headquarters Support Service. Naka-detain sila sa detention facility ng HSS sa ngayon,” he said.</p><p>He added that only the unit commander has been replaced, while personnel not involved in the incident would remain in their posts. </p><p>Ragay said he was arranging for the deployment of new officers to fill the vacancies.</p><p>“Ang pinaalala ko sa kanila is napakahirap ‘yung trabaho natin sa PDEG, we are prone to cases, we are prone to lawsuits. So we should know our job and do our job well,” he said. </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>PNP: NO COVER-UP</strong></div><div><br/></div><p>Acting PNP chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. vowed that the police force would ensure accountability and due process for personnel involved in abuses.</p><p>“We have a good program for that. We have the internal disciplinary mechanism, meron siyang 3 phase, ito ‘yung preventive, punitive at saka restorative. Just to ensure na sila ay maturuan, huwag gagawa ng kalokohan dito sa atin,” Nartatez said. </p><p>Nartatez noted that he has resolved nearly 4,000 administrative cases since assuming office, emphasizing that “there will be no cover-ups” in cases involving police misconduct.</p><p>“Walang takipan at kailangan i-resolve at i-implement ang ating resolution na gagawin,” he said. </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/11/28/ncrpo-fires-suspends-penalizes-over-100-personnel-in-purge-1613">NCRPO fires, suspends, penalizes over 100 personnel in &#x27;purge&#x27;</a></div><div><br/></div><div><strong>PLEDGE OF COMMITMENT </strong></div><div><br/></div><p>The PNP also signed on Monday a pledge of commitment in support of the annual 18‑day campaign to end violence against women, observed from November 25 to December 12. </p><p>The ceremony reaffirmed the PNP’s dedication to ensuring protection, promoting accountability, and enhancing coordinated services for survivors nationwide. </p><p>Nartatez added the PNP was  strengthening its strategies to ensure a more effective and compassionate response to gender-based violence through the PNP Women and Children Protection Center (WCPC). </p><div><br/></div><div> </div>
