<p>Supporters gathered and held an indignation rally and candle lighting activity in Roxas Avenue, Davao City on Sunday to voice their discontent over the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte.</p><p>Participants included Davaoeños and some supporters from nearby provinces, all coming together for the &quot;Protect VP Sara&quot; rally.</p><p>They also expressed their disappointment with the lawmakers who backed the impeachment efforts against the vice president.</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/2/5/house-impeaches-vp-sara-duterte-1551">READ: House impeaches VP Sara Duterte<br/></a></div><p>Randy Usman, deputy mayor of the Maranao tribe, led the rally, emphasizing their collective stance against what they perceive as political persecution of Duterte.</p><p>&quot;Nagpagawas lang mi sa among kapungot nga ilang gidismaya ang among VP Sara, bisan nagsulti si Inday nga dili na mag-rally, nagpagawas lang mi sa among kasuko tungod sa ilang gibuhat kang VP Sara,&quot; he said.</p><p>(We are just venting our anger that they disappointed our VP Sara, even though she already told us not to push through with the rally.
