<div><iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?height=421&amp;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FPHIVOLCS%2Fvideos%2F1843257653183078%2F&amp;show_text=false&amp;width=560&amp;t=0" width="560" height="421" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><p>A total of 89 volcanic earthquakes rocked Mount Bulusan for the past 24 hours including 2 volcanic tremors that lasted 1-2 minutes, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said Tuesday.</p><p>Bulusan Volcano in Sorsogon erupted early Monday, sending a plume of ash 4,500 meters into the sky, which drifted west to southwest. </p><p>Ashfall was reported in parts of Irosin, Juban, and Magallanes towns while an ash cloud from poorly visible small-volume pyroclastic density currents or PDCs, hazardous mixtures of hot volcanic gas, ash and fragmented rock, was also observed on the southwestern slopes.</p><p>Phivolcs raised Alert 1 in a 5-level system, which meant that the “volcano is currently in a state of low-level unrest with chances of phreatic eruptions succeeding this morning’s event.&quot;</p><p>In an advisory, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) on Tuesday advised flight operators to avoid flying near the Bulusan Volcano due to possible hazards from sudden explosive eruptions and ashfall. </p><p>Through a Notice to Airmen or Notam, CAAP said flights are barred near the volcano from Tuesday until early Wednesday.</p><div><br/></div><div><br/></div><div><iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FPHIVOLCS%2Fposts%2Fpfbid02uFazU9toSTMpuCgwsH8y6pXBLdZy5LaXbgtGq4gnYghJSr3XBbfmrwAgLM7oW15Fl&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=500" width="500" height="654" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div><strong>20,000 FAMILY FOOD PACKS</strong></div><p>The Department of Social Welfare and Development has ordered the immediate release of 20,000 family food packs to Sorsogon to help the province amid Mt. Bulusan’s eruption on Monday.</p><p>The DSWD’s Field Office 5 - Bicol Region is also set to deploy its mobile command center (MCC) and mobile kitchen in areas most-affected by the eruption of Mt. Bulusan.</p><p>The MCC, which is equipped with state-of-the-art satellite internet, gadgets, and a generator, is being utilized not just as a stable source of power supply and internet connection for disaster responders, but also for disaster-affected communities.</p><p>DSWD Bicol Regional Director Norman Laurio said the DSWD’s newly-acquired mobile kitchen will be deployed to help with the food provision for affected families, particularly those who will be advised to evacuate.</p><p>As of press time, the agency is preparing 20,000 boxes of FFPs for immediate release to the provincial government of Sorsogon.</p><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/lYd4-g_uKRs?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div>
