<div><br/></div><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:950px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1750902772331shabu.jpg" style="width:950px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" alt="COURTESY: PDEA Region 2"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left"><em>COURTESY: PDEA Region 2</em></span></span></span></div><div><br/></div><p>More suspected shabu has been found, this time on a beach in Basco, Batanes, the northenmost province of the Philippines.</p><p>The Philippine Drug Enforcement Administration Region 2 said a fisherman found a sack filled with 24 vacuum-sealed packs of suspected shabu at the beach in Barangay Chanaryan last June 19.</p><p>The sealed packs had the mark “DAGUANYING”, weighed 24.5 kilograms and had an estimated street value of P166.6 million.</p><p>The suspected shabu was surrendered to Basco police station and is now in the custody of PDEA Basco Provincial Office. The haul will be brought to PDEA Region 2 Laboratory for further analysis.</p><p>At least 1.530 tons of floating shabu have been seized off the coasts of Zambales, Pangasinan, and Cagayan since early June, amounting to around P9.48 billion — the largest drug haul in Philippine history.</p><p>President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. on Wednesday led the inspection and incineration of the nearly 3,000 kilograms of “shabu,” marijuana, cocaine, and ecstasy confiscated in various parts of the Philippines.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/6/18/marcos-orders-tighter-coastal-watch-vs-floating-drugs-1219">Marcos orders tighter coastal watch vs floating drugs</a></div>
