MANILA — The Land Transportation Office (LTO) suspended on Thursday the driver&#x27;s license of six individuals after a video of them having a race in Tagaytay went viral in social media.In the Department of Transportation&#x27;s (DOTr) Facebook post, it showed the video allegedly posted on social media by one of the alleged drivers in the incident.The department also said its chief DOTr Sec. Vince Dizon, together with LTO, will not allow &quot;irresponsible driving&quot; that would endanger other road users and pedestrians.&quot;Paulit-ulit na sinabi ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos na dapat gawing ligtas ang kalsada para sa lahat. Hindi tayo papayag na bastusin at lumabag ang ilang iresponsable at reckless na driver sa traffic rules,&quot; Dizon said in the post.The DOTr also included in their post the show cause orders it imposed upon seven individuals linked to the incident.One of the respondents was the owner of a car in the video but allegedly was not the one driving, resulting in him not having his license suspended.The show cause order instructed the individuals to explain to the LTO on July 14, 2025 why they should not be charged with reckless driving, and why their license should not be suspended or revoked.
