MANILA -- The Biñan City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) advised residents on Wednesday to avoid bridges due to fast-moving waters carrying large logs.

The warning was posted on the DRRMO’s official Facebook page after logs were spotted in the Soro-soro River past 6 p.m.

"Kasi nakita po namin dito sa may CCTV namin na may malalaking troso, dumaan na siya sa ilang bridge natin. Wala naman siyang natamaan, tuloy-tuloy lang po yung troso," the Biñan City DRRMO said.

By 8:30 p.m., logs swept by floodwaters had already reached Laguna Lake, according to Biñan City DRRMO.
