<p>JIMENEZ, MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL – The Church of St. John the Baptist in Jimenez has been officially reopened and rededicated on August 16, 2025, coinciding with the feast of St. Roch, following its temporary closure due to an incident of desecration earlier this month.</p><p>The parish church was closed on August 5, after a woman desecrated the holy water font during the celebration of St. John Marie Vianney Sunday on August 3. </p><p>The act, considered a grave offense against the sacred, prompted the Archdiocese of Ozamiz to suspend liturgical celebrations as a time of reflection and reparation.</p><p>Archbishop Martin S.
