MANILA -- Authorities recovered the body of John Ysmael Mollenido, the son of Police Senior Master Sergeant Diane Marie Mollenido, in Barangay Maluid in Victoria, Tarlac Thursday afternoon.The eight-year-old had been missing for a week after his mother&#x27;s disappearance.The policewoman was found dead in Bulacan Saturday afternoon in a creek along the Pulilan–Baliuag Bypass Road in Barangay Dulong Malabon, Pulilan, Bulacan.Earlier on Thursday, authorities found traces of what appears to be blood inside the house of a car agent who is among the persons of interest in the disappearance and killing of Police Senior Master Sergeant Diane Marie Mollenido, said PLt Margaret Panaga, spokesperson of the Special Investigation Task Group (SITG).The house, located in Barangay San Agustin, Novaliches, Quezon City, was processed by the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) on Wednesday night after investigators determined that it was the last place where Mollenido was seen alive. With the permission of the agent’s lawyer, police subjected the residence to crime scene processing and forensic examination.The homeowner, who acted as the agent in the sale of Mollenido’s vehicle, is one of the persons of interest in the case.Police said that on January 16, Mollenido went to the house to transact with the buyer of her vehicle, accompanied by her eight-year-old son, John Ysmael. According to the person of interest’s statement to authorities, Mollenido allegedly contacted him the following day, January 17, saying that she and her son stayed overnight at a friend’s house.Police believe the agent’s account may help clarify the events leading to Mollenido’s disappearance.“Since po siya po yung huling nakasama po ng victim na si Diane, maaaring ito po ay magbigay ng information para sa insidente po na nangyari kay Diane, para po magkaroong ng linaw kasi siya po yung last kasama,” said Panaga.On January 24, Mollenido’s body was found dumped in a creek along the Pulilan-Baliuag Bypass Road in Barangay Dulong Malabon, Pulilan, Bulacan. Her remains were wrapped in cloth, placed inside a black garbage bag, and covered with plastic. Authorities said the body was already in a state of decomposition.Initial SOCO findings showed that Mollenido died from a gunshot wound in the head.“Base po sa SOCO report initial cause of death is gunshot wound po sa may bandang kaliwa po sa taas ng tainga… tumagos po sa may collar bone,” Panaga said.Investigators are also examining the victim’s posture at the time she was shot due to the downward trajectory of the bullet.Back in Quezon City, SOCO conducted a luminol test inside the agent’s house to check for possible blood traces. Luminol is a forensic chemical that glows under special light when it reacts with blood, even in minute amounts.According to sources from ABS-CBN News, SOCO allegedly detected traces of blood in the bathroom, sink, and drainage area of the house.“Kahapon po nag-conduct po tayo ng luminol test po doon sa bahay ng agent and base po sa paunang report meron daw po itong traces of blood, pero for confirmatory pa po ito kung ito ba ay human blood,” Panaga said.She adds that police are still awaiting the official and confirmatory laboratory results from SOCO.Authorities are also backtracking closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage to determine how Mollenido’s remains were transported from Quezon City to Bulacan.
