<p>BATANGAS CITY -Authorities intercepted an estimated ₱2.72 million worth of suspected shabu from a passenger bound for Oriental Mindoro at the Batangas Port on Sunday afternoon.</p><p>The 39-year-old suspect was identified only as “Rayvin,” a resident of Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/6/21/3-arestado-sa-buy-bust-operation-sa-pasay-city-higit-p1-m-halaga-ng-ilegal-na-droga-nasabat-1314"><strong>3 arestado sa buy-bust operation sa Pasay; higit P1-M halaga ng ilegal na droga, nasabat </strong></a> </div><p>The suspect was apprehended at around 3:30 p.m. in Zone 2 of the Passenger Terminal by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Seaport Interdiction Unit–Batangas, in coordination with the Philippine Ports Authority–Port Police Department, the Batangas Maritime Police Station, and the Philippine Coast Guard K9 Team.</p><p>Two plastic bags containing approximately 400 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of ₱2.72 million were recovered from the suspect.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/6/16/boc-intercepts-10-abandoned-drug-parcels-at-naia-1648"><strong>BOC intercepts 10 abandoned drug parcels at NAIA</strong></a> </div><p>Investigators said the suspect was about to board a vessel bound for Calapan City while carrying the illegal drugs.</p><p>The suspect will face charges for violating Section 5 (Transportation of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) under Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.</p>
