Police investigating stabbing incident involving minors in Negros Occidental

The San Carlos City Police Station is currently investigating a stabbing incident involving two minors in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.According to initial investigation, the victim, a Grade 9 student, sustained an injury to his lower right abdomen after he was stabbed Tuesday afternoon at Teachers Village, Barangay 2. The suspect, a Grade 10 student, was later apprehended by the police. Also recovered in his possession is the bladed weapon used in the incident.Based on the investigation, the incident stemmed from old personal grudges. There were also reports that a group of youths allegedly attempted to confront individuals they considered as their rivals when the stabbing occurred.Police also clarified that the incident did not occur within any school premises. The incident happened outside school grounds and after school hours.The victim was brought to San Carlos City Hospital, where he is conscious and receiving treatment.Further details will be released as the investigation progresses.
