Photo taken using the new POCO F8 Ultra </div>BALI, Indonesia — POCO on Wednesday unveiled its newest flagship devices, the POCO F8 Ultra and POCO F8 Pro, marking the brand’s entry into the premium smartphone category.POCO officials said the F8 Series signals the brand’s “boldest step yet” in establishing itself among top-tier devices while retaining its emphasis on value and performance. The brand has been known to release &quot;flagship killer&quot; phones, but this is the first time that it is dubbing its latest releases as flagships.“It’s been seven years for POCO, and in China we have a saying, ‘the seven-year itch,’ which means it’s time for a change. At POCO, we strive to change for the better because we want to bring something incredible for users,” said Kang Lou, Senior Product Marketing Manager for POCO Global.The new series sports a triple-camera setup. The F8 Ultra packs a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens with 5× optical zoom while the F8 Pro carries a 50 MP telephoto lens with 2.5× optical zoom.The top-tier F8 Ultra runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and houses a 6,500 mAh battery with 100W fast charging. The Ultra has a 6.9-inch AMOLED display, while the F8 Pro&#x27;s display comes slightly smaller at 6.59 inches.  Both models feature sound technology powered by leading audio brand Bose, boosting the phones’ entertainment and gaming experience. Photo taken using the new POCO F8 Ultra </div>For gamers, the F8 Ultra introduces the VisionBoost D8 co-chipset, designed to power AI models that “dramatically enhance image details and deliver high-quality graphics.”Responding to user demand, both new models also come with eSIM support.
